My Illustration........................................................

I taught myself how to "draw" with a mouse in art school; this was before the days of tablets for every computer, in every computer lab at the Art Institute of Colorado. I even owned a tablet, but did most of my work at school, so learning how to use it was never a priority for me.

First I became very good at clipping paths (which is "cutting out" pictures with a nice, smooth, vector line in PhotoShop) when I did an annual report project riddled with them. Then my instructor thought I had told him that I was going to be illustrating all visuals as well, and that was what he was expecting. He expected, so I delivered and have been doing my own visuals ever since. It is cheaper, faster, and creates an instant look and feel that you can draw on and repeat throughout a campaign or in conjunction with an identity. Oh yeah, and it's fun!

This is a small collection of recent images. They do not include any work from my "day job" only freelance and personal images. The two green garden-themed ones are from a school "graphics standards" project and were done in 2004. This collection will be updated as I am able to convert and compile my old work.
